Quilting the Jennifer Challenge

I did virtually no quilting in September and the bulk of October, mostly because I was doing other interesting and worthwhile things instead. Started edging back up to speed this week by quilting the Jennifer Challenge. I decided on the quilting pattern rather spur-of-the-moment, and I'm making all of those curves with a walking foot. Seems to be working....

You did virtually no quilting this summer and I did virtually no blog reading, so I'm just finding out what this Jennifer challenge is. No problem figuring out which one was yours! Your most recent storm quilt has a very serene, elegant look, at least in the photos -- pretty neat for a scrounged materials quilt.

Mm, the organic shapes are fantastic. I don't know much about quilting, but when I think of quilts I normally think of geometric looking designs, and this was a welcome surprise. The colours are great too - very playful. Having recently made a very basic quilt-that-mightn't-actually-be-a-quilt for an art project I can't even imagine the skill it'd require to make something like this.

Also your blog title and description are two of the best I've seen on here. The description makes me think of a quilted superhero for some reason. Awesome.
